Jean Shin’s works represent issues faced from an individual’s perspective as well as collective ones faced by a society as whole. She does this by transforming everyday objects into elegant expressions of identity within a community. The design is impressed by the concept and similarities shared between individuals. Each wood module links together to create an intricate wood structure that would support exhibited artworks, similar to her works; an individual support each other. Following up on this concept, the curatorial plan creates a “Journey of Life” to encourage visitors to question their relationship with people and objects in their surroundings.
