Based on Formwerkz’s models of life, which naturally attribute simplicity, homeliness and interactive, highly cooperative and active ways of working, the design created a space to meet Formwerkz’s needs. Connection is the main theme, together with the design language such as overlap, split-level, voids, as well as using nature as a mean to divide spaces. Trees are put inside the building to create a division between each area, and are placed according to functions and hierarchy: The coffee shop and Formwerkz / public and private / staffs and chiefs / inside and outside. The areas are linked through a corridor that foes through the courtyard to provide a natural experience for each time of the day. When being looked at from the exterior, the horizontal timbers create the feeling of a “connected design”.
